Brief and New..

Had an evening talking with 9th and
10th graders along with their parents about Christian Living. Yes sex is more than a verb! Being chaste is more than refraining from sexual
intercourse. It is wisdom and prudence
with all our gifts. Awesome discussions
last night. Thanks St. Henry’s!!

Beth and I are back from the Christ Our Light confirmation retreat at the YMCA’s facility on beautiful Silver Bay. Lots of great energy, lots of questions searching for life’s meaning in the midst of challenge in sorrow. Retreatants were guided along a series of prayer experiences: Labyrinth, Guided Meditation, Lectio.
Thanks to Sean, Elijah and Matt for their musical expertise this weekend-sounded great!
November 30, 2010: Such a busy last couple of months. Beth is looking forward to meeting people at NCCYM next week- booth number 950- stop by and say ‘Hi’! We will be raffling of a personal Labyrinth while we are there. Beth is working on some videos of the Rally in Pittsfield and we are in the porcess of updating not only the Advent page, but the last 8 programs we haven’t posted on.
October 5, 2010: Amazing weekend exploring the waves of God’s love and Mercy in our lives. Our children also helped us this weekend with a huge undertaking. We officially have a portable Living Hope Labyrinth!!!
September, 15, 2010: We are trying something a little different this fall. We are offering a Confirmation Retreat that ANYONE can register for. We are hosting it at beautiful Pyramid Life Center, a real gem in our Diocese. The Confirmation retreat is called Tsunami of the Spirit, a retreat focusing on our gifts, the gifts of the Spirit and being a wave of God’s love to others. We are excited to be offering this Oct. 2, 2010 and hope to see you there! Registration and more information- click here
Peace-

We have just returned from NCYC and are just in awe of God’s grace and beauty that was shared with us by tons of teens. We would especially like to thank the generousity of Curtis for a ‘lift’ when we were in need and to all those who shared faith (and fun) with us and the “What Now?” discernment session. There are added pictures and blog posts in the Calendar to the right about our time at NCYC. CHRIST REIGNS!!

WOW!! Now that I (Beth) have figured out how to use my own blog, I thought I would share with others. On the right is a calendar. If you click on a shaded day (like October 4) there is a blog entry for that day. Seems pretty basic, but here I am looking around the “What’s Up?” page for my own post and cannot find it. It is a great a beautiful thing that Chris has been given the gift of web and blog design.
A prayer for you today (keeping very much in mind who the saint of the day is):
“Most High, Glorious God,
enlighten the darkness of our minds.
Give us a right faith, a firm hope and a perfect charity,
so that we may always and in all things act according to Your Holy Will. Amen.”
-Francis of Assisi

We are just getting home from the New England Convocation for Catechetical Leadership. Wow! What an event. Traveling around to the various dioceses, it’s awesome to see the Spirit of God working in the lives of the faithful; those who hear his call and without hesitation, answer it, to feed the Body of Christ.
It was great to run into some old friends as well.
Peace,
Beth and Chris

If you have loved, you have seen God’s face, if you have hoped, you have heard the voice of God, and if you have had faith, you have stepped boldly into God’s arms which is the purpose of your life.
Restful Summer ahead?!
We are in the process of discerning and developing an interactive program for kids 7-12 on Salvation History through the use of story and song. The kids are helping with this one, it’s sooooo cool. We’ll keep you updated.
